JAMMU: Security forces uncovered a terrorist hideout in a remote forested area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district and recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), officials said on Thursday.
The hideout was detected in the Badi Behak area of Thanamandi during a cordon-and-search operation carried out by a joint team of security forces. During the search, troops recovered a suspicious object that was later confirmed to be an IED.
Officials said a bomb disposal squad was immediately called to the site to safely neutralise the explosive through a controlled detonation.
