MUMBAI: A petty rivalry turned fatal in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi, where a 31-year-old man stabbed and killed a 26-year-old neighbour late Monday night.
Police identified the deceased as Mohammed Qureshi, who worked as a truck cleaner. The accused, Nazim Malik, also from the same locality, had a history of quarrels with Qureshi, police said.
On Monday night, a heated argument escalated into a fight. Malik allegedly went home, fetched a knife, and stabbed Qureshi multiple times in the stomach.
Qureshi was rushed to Shatabdi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have arrested Malik and registered a case of murder.
