MarineShift360 has opened applications for its 2026 Impact Accelerator, inviting marine companies to join a ten-month programme designed to accelerate decarbonisation, strengthen design and supply-chain decisions and scale practical sustainability solutions across the sector.

The Impact Accelerator, led by Marine Futures and supported by 11th Hour Racing, provides fully funded lifecycle analysis support, technical consultancy, supply-chain guidance, a paid internship, and access to MarineShift360’s network of innovators, suppliers, and specialists.

The programme helps organisations embed environmental insight into everyday decision-making and unlock the practical pathways that lead to measurable impact.

The opening of applications follows the release of the programme’s first-year results, which demonstrated how lifecycle analysis reshaped real-world decisions for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and BAR Technologies.

Both organisations used lifecycle insight to identify environmental hotspots, improve material and engineering decisions, reduce emissions, and strengthen the credibility of their sustainability claims. The findings showed how lifecycle analysis can drive cost savings, accelerate design improvements and support more resilient long-term planning across the marine industry.

MarineShift360 is seeking applications from companies developing or scaling solutions that can reduce environmental impact. This includes those developing zero-emission or low-impact vessels, sustainable and circular materials, innovative manufacturing approaches, low-impact fuels and infrastructure, and organisations committed to improving the footprint of their operations or products.

“This programme is designed to remove barriers to action,” said Ollie Taylor, director of Marine Futures.

“The first year showed how powerful lifecycle insight can be when organisations commit to understanding their impact. It gives teams the confidence to make better decisions, the evidence to accelerate innovation and the tools to scale those decisions across fleets, product lines and supply chains. We’re excited to open applications for the next cohort and support more organisations ready to lead.”

“The future of the marine sector depends on organisations willing to rethink systems, not simply refine them,” said Jeremy Pochman, co-founder and CEO of 11th Hour Racing.

“The Impact Accelerator provides the insight, structure, and collaboration required to drive that transformation. We’re committed to supporting the innovators charting a regenerative and resilient future for our ocean.”

Applications are open until 31 December 2025. Shortlisted organisations will be invited to interviews in January, with the new cohort announced later that month. Source: MarineShift360
