NOIDA: A 23-year-old grocery delivery boy was arrested on Thursday for allegedly forcing a woman in Greater Noida to strip at knifepoint, filming her, and later blackmailing her with the explicit clips.
Police said the accused, Gaurav, who also worked as a hairdresser, first targeted the victim in July after delivering milk and groceries to her flat. According to the FIR, he threatened her son at knifepoint, forced her to undress, and recorded videos and photos. The woman told police he also threatened to harm her daughter if she resisted.
Over the next two months, Gaurav allegedly harassed her repeatedly, scaling her fourth-floor balcony at night and warning her not to approach police. On September 2, he escalated the threats by sharing the videos with her husband, who works in Ahmedabad, and uploading some clips online. That morning, he again turned up at her flat, prompting her to call the police helpline.
Gaurav fled before police arrived but was later arrested. His phone has been seized, and investigators are probing whether he targeted other victims.
He has been booked under sections 76 (assault with intent to disrobe) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with provisions of the IT Act, police said.
