JAMMU: A tragic incident occurred at Jammu University on Tuesday night, as a law student died after allegedly falling from the terrace of his hostel building on campus.
The student, identified as Vishal Bhardwaj, also known by his nickname Bunny, was discovered unconscious at the rear of the hostel by fellow students. A resident of Katra in Jammu’s Reasi district, Vishal had appeared for his final examination earlier that day.
He was immediately taken to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu but was declared dead on arrival.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fall. “A probe is underway, and the statements of witnesses are being recorded to establish the exact cause of death,” an official said.
